
Despite its often very sweet flavor, the plum remains a moderately energetic fruit: for a portion of 150 g (or approximately 140 g net: the stones must be taken into account!), the total energy does not exceed 75 to 100 kcalories (313 to 418 kJoules). A dessert or snack consisting of plums thus represents a maximum of 3 to 5% of the recommended daily intake for adults, or 2000 to 2700 kcalories (8300 to 11400 kJoules).
